Dear Parents,

It was great to see so many at conferences!  Thank you!!  I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend.

This week is a little crazy, so hold on and let's get it started!  🙂

Wednesday, the students may wear their costumes, but there are few things to think about.  We will have our regular prayer with Fr. Randy at 9:30.   Students will not be able to apply makeup or hair dye at school.  If the costume isn't comfortable to wear all day, students can change mid-day if that would make things easier.  We will be wondering around in a parade around 2:30 throughout the school.  Happy Halloween!  👻

Thursday is All Saints Day and we will gather as a school at 8:45 for mass.  Please feel free to join us if you are able.  Please have your child dress in nice clothing.

The 7th graders will be assigned their next science project on Tuesday.  It is based upon genetics and will have a fall/Thanksgiving theme.

Take care and have a great week!
Kim

Dear Parents, It was a great first week back at school!  I know that I keep saying that I can't believe these kids are in my homeroom, but I am still amazed that time flown by this fast.  They were the little ones in the cafeteria, when I would walk by at lunch, and shout "IT'S SCIENCE DAY!" and now it's science day every day!  :)  I loved their enthusiasm then and am truly driven by it now. The rain just keeps coming down.  I hope that your family has not seen damage to your home due to the excess water.  I hope we get some dry days very soon! This week this kids start, in earnest, on the first project in science for the year.  They are each to build a plant or animal cell.  Each project should make a connection to a topic (sports, food, a building, etc..) and be created via that connection.  I am so anxious to see the creativity of this group.  The project and all its parts are due on September 20th. There are several students ...

The 7th graders turned in their projects today.  There was one group (HUGE SHOUT OUT TO Yari, Rowen, Rose, Jamison M. and Amelia) who performed live (which they did a great job) but the others all have theirs recorded and I am sharing them here. Dear Parents, It's here, It's here, It's here.... finally, December has arrived!  I was so happy to start Advent this morning at church and hearing Deacon David's homily was really good.  Sounds like Fr. Randy is doing well and will use one more week of time to continue his healing.  Fr. Allam has been doing a good job in the absence of Fr. Randy.  We are so thankful for all of their leadership. This week: Monday: We have our first Advent Prayer gathering at 8:30 in the church.  Everyone is welcome to join us! The 6th - 8th grade will have Reconciliation in the church from 12:40-1:30.  All Catholic students will participate and those non-Catholics who would like a special blessing pray are welcome to come forward, as well. Wednesday:  We have mass at 8:45.  Thursday:  The long awaited Science Fair packets will be handed out to the 7th and 8th graders during science class.  The students have until December 13th to turn in the par...
