Dear Parents,

S-N-O-W!  Can you believe we have already seen the first of the season?  Crazy, but I will admit it was beautiful to look out and see it!

The coming week is going to be a bit crazy, so hold on and let's get it started!

Monday and Tuesday are normal schedules and regular work loads.

Wednesday, we have prayer with the 8th graders from 9:30-9:45.  Fr. Randy shared some of the paintings in the sacristy a couple weeks ago, so I am anxious to see what he has planned for us this time.  Speaking of Fr. Randy, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.  He will have hip replacement surgery on Friday, November 16th.  We wish him all the best of luck and a fast recover!

Thursday afternoon is Prize Fest.  Congratulations go out to all those who helped support our school by selling magazines, etc...  We are blessed with such an incredible turnout!  Thank you for the efforts!  **The 7th graders genetics project and self assessments are also due Thursday.**

Friday is the long anticipated Kalahari trip.  Most of the 7th graders earned their way on the trip.  If your child did not, he/she is expected to be at school.  We will have some fun activities planned and probably a movie as well.

Take care and many blessings,
Kim

Dear Parents, ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!  Your kids have done a great job so far with the pig dissection.  Their interest continues to grow and their concentration on the task at hand has made all the difference.  I gave them a copy of the study guide for the upcoming test, so hopefully he/she have started at least looking at the information.  That test will be May 20th and its a BIG ONE, so hopefully they will be ready to go when the time arrives! This is our last week of "normal" classes before everything with end-of-the-year stuff is upon us!  Please keep an eye out for the principal updates each Friday.  He does a great job of giving the upcoming activities happening at school. Have a great week!!! Many blessings, Kim

Happy April Fool's Day!  :) Can you believe we are all ready to enter APRIL?!  I hope that spring break went well for everyone.  It was a much needed break and I am sure that the 7th graders were ready to relax after all the science fair hubbub!  :) We will be finishing up the MAEAR project they are working on in science.  Those are due at the beginning of class on Wednesday, April 10th, along with the self assessment.  After that project, we will start the virtual pig dissection.  This year we're able to set up the computer program on the Chrome Books so the students can work on it independently.  We start the actual pig dissection after Easter break. I look forward to a great spring!  I can't wait to see the school play this upcoming week! Take care, Kim

Dear Parents, We are counting down the days to 2 important dates:  March 7th and March 14th. March 7th (Thursday of this week):  ALL parts of the science fair are due.  Students must turn in the SIGNED rough draft/final copy of the paper, eye-catching poster board and a prepared presentation.  These are all due Thursday by the end of class. March 14th (Thursday next week):  7th and 8th graders will be in the gym all afternoon talking to the school students about his/her projects' outcomes.  The 7th and 8th graders will then come back from 5:55-7:45 in the evening.  All parents and former students will be joining us in the gym.  I will be sending an update via email shortly.  Have a great week!  Please never hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns. Take care, Kim
